We run a range of one-day guided bike tours from Florence into the Tuscan countryside — through the Chianti Classico wine region, down to Siena, out to San Gimignano, and more. Yes — every one of our tours can be made entirely private for your group of 2 to 4 people, for a flat Private Exclusivity Fee of €150 on top of the standard per-person price. See our Private Tours page for more details.

Yes, larger private groups are welcome. Drop us a message and we’ll work out the best way to arrange it.

It depends on the tour. Our gelato and wine tasting rides are gentle and accessible to most people — if you can ride a bike, you can do them. The Florence to Siena and Florence to San Gimignano routes involve more distance and some hills. Our Chianti Road Cycling tour is genuinely challenging and aimed at confident cyclists who want a proper workout. Each tour page has details on distance and difficulty, so have a read before you book.

Most of our tours use quality aluminium hybrid bikes — comfortable, reliable, and well-suited to Tuscan roads. Our Chianti Road Cycling tour uses road bikes, and our E-Bike tour uses e-bikes. If you’re not sure which bike is right for you, just ask.

Our standard group tours take up to 8 people. If you have a larger group, get in touch — we can accommodate bigger parties on private bookings.

Yes — helmets are included with every tour, along with water and transport to and from the countryside.

Every tour includes your bike, helmet, water, transport out to the countryside and back, and a guide. Specific tours also include wine tastings, gelato tastings, lunch, or olive oil tastings — check the individual tour pages for the full details.

For our standard group and private tours, we ask you to get in touch first so we can make sure everything is right for your group – either email us, use the enquiry form on the private tours page or drop us a message on WhatsApp.

If you cancel more than 15 days before your tour, you’ll receive a 50% refund of the total cost. If you cancel within 7 days of the tour, no refund is given. We recommend checking the weather forecast as you get closer to your date — but please note that rain alone is not grounds for a last-minute refund (more on that below).

Get in touch as early as possible and we’ll do our best to move your booking to another date, subject to availability.

We meet at convenient points just outside Florence’s historic centre (the ZTL — the Limited Traffic Zone that private vehicles can’t enter). We work out the meeting point closest to your hotel, so you should never need to walk more than about 15 minutes. Once we confirm your booking, we’ll send you the exact location.

For standard group tours, we use fixed meeting points on the edge of the ZTL. For private tours, countryside pickups — for example from a hotel or villa outside Florence — can be arranged for an additional fee. Just mention it when you enquire.

No — return transport to Florence is included in every tour.

We recommend a minimum age of 13 for our tours, as the routes use open roads and riders need to be confident and road-aware. If your child is younger than 13 but a strong, confident cyclist, get in touch and we can discuss whether it would be suitable — we’re happy to chat it through.

We’re British so a bit of rain doesn’t stop us! And it doesn’t stop the tours either. If rain is forecast, we go ahead and ask guests to come dressed for the weather. Where possible, we’ll adjust the order of the day (for example, doing the ride first and the wine tasting afterwards) to work around any showers.
That said, if you’re worried about getting wet, Tuscany’s summers are reliably sunny and most of our guests have nothing to worry about. Last-minute refunds are not given on the basis of rain.
